COMPETITIONS OR SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

This year's Advanced Chamber Music Seminar will take place August 8-15, 2010 at Shadyside Academy in Fox Chapel. There are big bonuses for applying early. You can apply online at ChamberMusicPro. Applications are now available for the Kenndy Center/National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute. New this year: the Cooper International Competition for Violin and Piano at Oberlin College. The 14th Annual Schadt String Competition at the Allentowntown Symphony is open to cellists for the 2010 competition. Full scholarships are available for the Texas Music Festival at the Univeristy of Houston. The Eastern Music Festival will take place June 26 to July 31, 2010. Full scholarships & accommodations are available for pre-professional apprentices to perform orchestral & chamber music with mentors in Hot Springs National Park’s Beautiful “City of the Arts”. Go the apprentices page of Hot Springs Music Festival. The Strings International Music Festival is a 14-day summer music program for strings, winds, and piano players in Bryn Mawr, PA. Scholarships are available for the orchestra program at Valdosta State University, in Georgia.
